Overall very good

Disliked: The staff totally messed up a surprise of a bottle of champagne that I wanted to give to my girl friend the first night of our visit.

We had a great time!

Liked: The breakfast was very good. Charming! Yummy croissants. The location was great. We love the roof top bar, the jazz bar and the breakfast nook. The room was a great size for a family of 4. Loved the French/eclectic look of the hotel.
Disliked: Our shower pressure wasn't the best. The phone didn't work, and the door handle of the bathroom was falling off. The toilet bowl was also leaking.

Liked: LOCATION AND THE ROOFTOP BAR

I would definitely stay there...

Liked: Location is perfect. Rooftop Bar is exceptional. Kay at the front desk was super friendly. The attached restaurant had good food.
Disliked: Both elevators broke when we were there. However the front desk made it up to us.

Disappointed

Liked: Parts of the hotel were really well run, others, not so much.
Disliked: Facilities problems. The elevators were down, meaning I had a ten floor walk. Impossible for mobility impaired folks.

Exceptional

Liked: The Pontchartrain is a charming hotel, the rooms are decorated with a boho feel. The beds were comfortable
Disliked: The hot water in the shower was hit and miss. The biggest issue was that they only had one working elevator. Had I known I would have requested a lower floor. One night when we returned from dinner there was a line out the door to access the elevator to the rooftop bar. As hotel guest we were able to jump the line. They had a security guard on the first floor but then once on the elevator riders could exit any floor. They need a dedicated elevator that only goes to the rooftop and another for hotel guest.

Disliked: We were on the 11th floor and the water pressure was poor.
