The Ponce St. Augustine Hotel

Overall it was a convenient location considering the short walking distance to the venue (Francis Field). Other than the train tracks right behind the room, the air conditioner kept turning off and on every 5-10 minutes which was quite annoying for a light sleeper, even after numerous drinks throughout the night prior to sleeping. I'd definitely stay there again but make sure I was not facing the train tracks where the noise from it wasn't so apparent.

Liked: Close to concert venue.
Disliked: Train tracks literally right behind hotel room on other side of parking lot; A/C issues.

We checked in around 4:00pm. We were right away eaten up by fleas. We were leaving for concert at 5:00 and told the desk. They said they would spray while we were gone. Returned at midnight and were bitten by fleas all night. In the two rooms next to ours, the people were coming and going all night until about 3:30 in the morning, as well as yelling and just plain noisy. The worst hotel experience I've had in 40 years.

Liked: Friendly staff.
Disliked: Nasty room; fleas; noisy people; railroad tracks right by the hotel.

This day was better than...

Liked: The price for the accommodations, the location and pool.
Disliked: The mini refrigerator was unstable and a checkout reminder on the door.

Passable

Liked: We really enjoyed the pool, the location was close to many restaurants and historic downtown.
Disliked: Room was not what I expected, but ended being nice for the reason we were there. The cabinet that the fridge was in was broke. We plugged in the ice machine and water went all over the counter, so couldn't use it without leakage.

Liked: nice Facility. Rooms were clean
Disliked: Toilet leaked from bottom. Showers had very little water pressure.

Great location but rooms need...

Liked: Perfect location to visit Historic Downtown St Augustine. The room was big and had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee / tea maker. They also had a restaurant, breakfast, pool, and free parking which is great. The price what you pay is what you get, which is okay if you only sleep there. The bed was comfortable.
Disliked: The room we had was outdated and had visible water damage around the furniture. Simple things that could be fixed such as the refrigerator cabinets or dirt on the lamps were not done and did not look good. Also a shower curtain that had rips was a bad look to us . It was not dirty and you could tell they cleaned the room, it was just not updated and broken things should be fixed. Also the Tv was outdated and they give you the option of a free DVD to watch.

Clean rooms, good food.

Liked: Exceptionally clean room. Comfortable beds. Hotel with easy access and parking. There’s a Colombian restaurant in the same building serving very good food.
Disliked: Light in the sink area is a bit strong. Other than that, all good.
