Modern comfort meets classic Vermont charm at The Pointe at Castle Hill Resort & Spa, nestled in the scenic Green Mountains. Just 4 miles from Okemo Mountain and surrounded by forested beauty, this resort offers a serene escape with upscale amenities, including a full-service spa, indoor heated pool, and on-site French restaurant. With richly styled rooms featuring dark wood furnishings, flat-screen TVs, and some with full kitchens, it’s a cozy yet elevated base for music-loving travelers.

Why Concert-goers love it

This resort is a quiet haven after a night of live music, offering peaceful, soundproofed rooms perfect for unwinding. Its location near Route 103 makes it easy to reach venues in the Okemo area, while the indoor hot tub and spa provide the perfect post-concert recovery. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, giving you time to settle in before an evening show, and check-out is a relaxed 11:00 AM—ideal after a late night.

Food and Drink Options

The on-site Castle Restaurant offers elegant, French-inspired dining in a wood-paneled setting—ideal for a pre-show meal or a celebratory dinner. While there's no official late-night dining, the in-room refrigerators and nearby local eateries provide quick solutions. Breakfast is available, so you won’t miss a bite even after those late-night encores.

Nightlife Options

While the resort itself is more about relaxation than revelry, it’s a short drive to bars and lounges in nearby Ludlow. If you're looking for a chill end to your night, the resort’s serene setting and indoor pool provide a more tranquil form of après-concert unwinding.

What People Say

Guests love the resort’s spacious, comfortable rooms, the beautiful mountain setting, and the top-notch spa services. Many reviews highlight the hotel as a great value for the amenities offered, and praise the friendly front desk staff. Concert-goers especially appreciate how quiet and restful it is after a high-energy night.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the decor feels a bit dated in places, and others note the lack of walkable nightlife. However, most agree that the trade-off is worth it for the peaceful atmosphere and easy proximity to Okemo.

The Bottom Line

A calm, scenic, and comfortable base for music fans looking to enjoy Vermont’s live music scene—without sacrificing rest and relaxation.

Pretty average stay....

Liked: I was first put in a room in the main part of the hotel. It was outdated, there were few plugs and no plugs at all near the bed, and the TV wasn't working. After requesting several times to fix the TV, they moved me to another room in the rear of the hotel. This room had a small kitchenette, a gas fireplace, plenty of plugs, and was far more comfortable - as well as having better decor. So - be careful what you book. The jacuzzi is very nice.
Disliked: I went for the indoor swimming pool, which I couldn't even get in because it was freezing cold. There were few guests in the hotel at the time, so maybe they turned down the temperature, but it was not usable. Unfortunate, since this is why I booked this hotel. This hotel is not walking distance to anything. All their restaurants were closed, so I had to drive to get any of my meals.

OK location and room, but...

Liked: Location was OK. Room was clean.
Disliked: Refrigerator provided, but sits so low on the floor and I'm not a dwarf. It could really use a microwave to make the room more user friendly. This was also the first time I had to book a minimum of 3 days even though I only needed 2 and had to checkout after only 2 nights. Nobody seemed to have an answer for that.
