Liked: Alnwick is a beautiful place and the surrounding areas are great for exploring which we did. Parking was good at the hotel and the replacement room we were offerered was lovely.
Disliked: We were given a room which was small and had the following problems: the sink was cracked and the plughole blocked, the toilet seat was cracked and marked. The shower pushed water up everytime you flushed the toilet and there were cracks over the floor tiles. The hotel was tired and needed a deep clean, we had no breakfast on the first day as the Chef hadn't turned up, we had a coffee. The one shining light was Connor who seemed to be running the place, who upgraded us to a better room.

Disliked: shower was so weak you could hardly wash. for £120 / night you expect decent water pressure

Liked: Nothing went well. I have travelled extensively around the world and this was by far the worst Inn/Hotel I have ever stayed in.Not recommended at all. Am going to take tgis up with Punch taverns

Liked: Only one member of staff Jamie. He did his best under difficult circumstances
Disliked: Overall a very disappointing experience ,very few staff members, no breakfast available. Not a very secure set up . Room left unlocked after cleaning just not acceptable. The shower area was all mould and not very clean.I expect to receive a substantial refund

Liked: Location was great, central to all amenities, car park on site. Staff were really friendly and helpful
Disliked: Room was fine but maybe a little tired but overall it was comfortable and clean

Disliked: TV is tiny, like a computer moniter, plus the blinds would not open so no daylight in the morning

2 Night Stay for our...

Liked: The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The decor was very nice and the selection of food and drink was good. The location is very central, which was ideal - everything we wanted was within walking distance, it was also nice and quiet, which was good. Our stay was good value for money, given all of the above, however; not so much given the issues with the room.
Disliked: The room itself was comfortable, albeit very small, and the bedding was exceptionally clean, as were the towels, however; the blinds were very dusty, as was the mirror over the dressing table. The furniture in the room was very unkempt, the paint was chipped and wearing away, and the carpets could've done with a good vacuum. The bathroom floor tiles were cracked, the temperature dial on the shower was broken in half, which made it difficult to adjust the water temperature, and the toilet seat had pen marks on it and part of the seat had peeled off. We also had to keep the blinds in the room closed, directly outside of our room, was the fire escape, which was also the exit from the hotel after the bar had closed, so was very exposed otherwise.
