A fantastic 14th-century Wealden hall...

Liked: The Plough Inn is a beautiful 14th-century Wealden hall house that’s now a charming gastropub with big and comfy rooms, in the tiny hamlet of Stalisfield Green, high on the North Downs in rural Kent. We stayed in one of the deluxe king suites, Willow, which was laid out on two levels, and was beautifully furnished and appointed. Dinner at the pub was truly excellent - fine dining and good value - and the wine list was impressive yet keenly priced. Oh and the range of local beers, of course, was also a highlight. Breakfast the next morning, which was served to us in our room, was also top-notch. Last but far from least, the service was impeccable - not only courteous and efficient but also friendly and fun.
Disliked: The Plough Inn is faultless. You'll love it. Make a booking today!

From the moment we arrived, Marianne and Richard made us feel incredibly welcome — their hospitality and warmth set the perfect tone for our stay. The atmosphere was cosy and inviting, and the attention to detail was clear throughout.A special thank you to Angel, who was exceptionally helpful in guiding us through the most attractive points in the area. Her local knowledge enhanced our trip, and we discovered some beautiful spots we would have otherwise missed.Highly recommend The Plough Inn for anyone looking for a relaxing stay with genuine, friendly hosts in a lovely setting. The village pub every village...

Liked: This is the perfect village pub but with added self-contained, elegant and beautifully thought out accommodation. The food is exceptional and the setting beautiful. We stayed in advance of a Shuttle booking., the terminal is less than 30 minutes away.
