Liked: The staff were brilliant. The accommodation fantastic. Superbly clean and beautiful room. Had dinner there every night because it was delicious and well priced. Breakfasts excellent. I cannot tell you how highly I rate The Plough Inn. Thankyou to all

A really good pub and...

Liked: Everything. The food was excellent but not expensive. The hosts and staff were extremely helpful. The position of the inn is very good, my car was parked at the rear for the whole stay and we used the local buses which are frequent to easily reach the town centre and elsewhere in Yorkshire.
Disliked: We couldn't stay longer.

Pleasant stay.

Liked: Room's are quite dated but clean with very comfortable beds and quality linen. The food choice's are good and Breakfast was "excellent". Parking was easy as there is a large Car Park onsite. Meal times are really busy " Book a Table in advance as we did"
Disliked: The only drawback was the rooms are dated and quite dark, the ceiling was cracked in the room and the paint work on the Bathroom ceiling is peeling which is a shame and could easily be remedied.

An excellent stay , will...

Great stay, good location andgood...

Liked: The location is great for visiting York, a short bus ride or a few minutes in the car, it is walkable in about 30 minutes or so. Parking is free and easy. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Lovely tea tray. On a busy road but quiet at night, windows were double insulated. Only one tiny flaw was ceiling paint peeling in bathroom due to fan not working, didn’t really affect our stay but didn’t look good or clear condensation from showering . Would definitely return , good value.
