Liked: For an old building it was in good shape, and very clean.
Disliked: No, not at all. Thought the music in the bar was loud but I had asked for a quiet room and they gave me one.

Was a great place to...
Liked: The hotel was clean and neat and the staff were very friendly and nice. Answered my questions via text promptly and answered all my questions.
Disliked: Parking was an issue. They need bigger parking spaces and more of them.

Very disappointing stay in this...
Liked: The location of this hotel was very good, as it was right downtown and in the middle of everything, which can also be a bad thing, as it means that you get all the noise from outside! The WiFi worked, and the bed was relatively comfortable; that's about as far as I can go with the positives. And the A/C worked, which was very useful.
Disliked: This hotel is dated. Very dated. So much so that it requires an overhaul. Granted, you can only work with what you have, but sometimes new things need to be introduced. The room was okay, but the bathroom needed a proper clean, a new shower system (I couldn't even get cold water if I wanted to) and just some new additions to spruce things up. The place smelt damp and faintly of tobacco, which is never a great start. For some reason, I had a whole load of huge lamps in my room that could have lit up half of Kamloops. The breakfast - the less said about it, the better. The selection was awful, and it was often cold by the time I got it back to the table. The scrambled eggs were dry and flaky, the sausages didn't look properly cooked, and there wasn't much else on offer. I know it's "complimentary", but the best compliment I could pay it was to not bother going back for 2 of the 4 mornings I was there. The breakfast room was in a converted pub/bar, with hardly any seating. Oh, and it's only available between 6 am and 9 am - most hotels I've stayed at serve breakfast between 7 am and 10 am, giving guests half a chance to go and get something, because surely a lot of guests are there on vacation and want to chill?I won't be staying in this hotel again. I'm sure it was lovely 'back in the day' when it was all new and fancy, but it's crying out to be renovated. Maybe they can still keep the 'oldest elevator in Kamloops' though. The staff were very pleasant, however, I have to say.
