Clean rooms, friendly staff and...

Liked: Property was lovely and clean, id seen people complain about heat but we opened the windows and put a fan on and the temperature was perfect- no need for aircon honestly when max summer temp is low 20s. The bed was comfortable and there were lots of full length mirrors, wardrobe space and a desk with a kettle/tea! Was a short walk into city centre and right next to the tram that would take us into city centre and also to Edinburgh Airport which was really convenient!
Disliked: We stayed on the top floor which meant unfortunately that the wifi was basically non existent- would drop out all the time and ended up chewing through our data. There was also no lift so we had to carry our luggage up the 3 flights of stairs! Obviously anyone who packed light would be fine but it would have been nice to know as we were on a 7 week holiday and definitely had a lot of luggage!!

Excellent location for central Edinburgh

Liked: The hotel is an excellent location for enjoying what central Edinburgh has to offer, We were upgraded free to the best room, very comfortable and spacious with a decent shower.
Disliked: There is no lift and therefore probably not suitable for those with mobility issues, For the able bodied though, it's a pretty decent leg workout to the top floor ! Breakfast was nice and choices from menu or buffet are good, coffee a bit to weak but Starbucks is right across the street if you need a really good cup !

Liked: Friendly warm welcome on reception, very friendly staff, modern layout, excellent location to city attractions.
Disliked: Pillows were a little too soft for our liking and no air con.and unable to open the window.

Disliked: With it being a listed building there is no lift and being on the top floor the stairs were hellish
