City Break

Liked: Great location. Great view out to the inlet. Bed comfy. Lobby nice. Super close to train and bus station.
Disliked: Breakfast they tried a bit too hard and failed. Notions. Staff in the restaurant not trained, but nice. No lift so lots of stairs.

I’ll be back……again

Liked: I’ve stayed here before so I was already familiar but it’s not disappointed the second time around. Which is a positive. The staff are wonderfully welcoming. The location is perfect
Disliked: I prefer baths but that’s a personal preference. It’s not accessible for disabled people as there’s lots of stairs but it’s a building issue

Liked: The location was central to everything, the rooms were very comfy and ideal for a short break away, the staff were very accommodating and we were able to leave our bags in a luggage room after checking out

Disliked: Too little milk in room (very minor point, but I did end up buying more milk) and Amazon Prime did not work on the last day (too late to get it sorted but therefore could not watch a film I had planned to that day)

Liked: Everything was amazing, the room was comfy, the bar nice and the people who works there were very kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to a mall and the historic city.

Amazing stay with top-notch service...

Liked: I stayed at The Place Hotel for a quick 2-day break mainly to see Edinburgh Castle. The hotel was lovely- though it did feel a bit like walking into a boarding school at first! What really stood out was the service. Sam at reception was amazing from day one- super helpful, reliable and always friendly. Even during breakfast (which was good by the way), he went out of his way to assist. Big kudos to Sam for making the stay so smooth. Would definitely come back!
