Hotel Description
This small AA 4-star gold-rated boutique hotel with a motoring theme has a large American-style kitchen unique bedrooms and Morgan sports cars to hire on site. There is free parking and Stansted Airport is just a 15-minute drive away. Melvyn and Sindy built The PitStop in 2009 and some of the windows were saved from the original Morgan factory. BREAKFAST: Guests can help themselves to a full continental-style breakfast from the American-style fridge at a time that suits them. The huge kitchen is styled as an American diner and can be accessed 24/7 exclusively by the guests. Room themes include Art Deco Edwardian contemporary and exotic Indian. Each has an private bathroom a TV free internet access and a computer. With free WiFi all rooms are located on the first floor and there is elevator access. The PitStop hotel is also convenient for the M11 motorway while Bishops Stortford is just over 3 miles away.

Perfect Place to Stay

Liked: An amazing place full of character, welcoming and friendly. Room was perfect, spacious, very comfortable with a great bathroom and wonderful shower. Breakfast facilities are incredible!Highly recommend.

A petrolhead’s dream

Liked: A truly unique experience. Great theme, stylishly decorated rooms, very comfortable and a brilliant Diner. All it needs is a Juke Box. Couldn’t fault my DIY breakfast, compliments to the chef! Would possibly avoid if you are prone to a mid life crisis (Note to self - A Morgan 3 wheeler is not a practical vehicle- repeat)

1950s diner experience with classic...

Liked: I loved the fact we had a 50s diner available to use with our other friends who were staying - there are 4 bedrooms around the diner and we met there for drinks and breakfast next morning. Very quirky and retro and lots of fun!

EXCELLENT PROPERTY IN A GREAT...

Liked: Excellent location. Particularly people who love cars must visit this place. Super comfortable rooms and beds were very comfortable and also the bathroom. Everything was very tastefully done with utmost care on every aspect.Very nice hosts, both of them were very kind and made our stay a memorable one.Thanks to them. Shall visit again soon.
