Exceptional stay with friendliness and...

Liked: Our family stayed here for one night in July. Just outside of some of the busiest spots, we found this absolutely charming example of what an independent motel should be. The room was clean and very well maintained. The amenities had us wishing we were there for more than just a nights sleep. There are BBQ's available for use which we would absolutely plan to use next time since finding dinner on the island can be a trick in peak-season. The campfire pit, playground, and pool are all waiting for our return to the island, which may not be for some time so let's keep this place packed and open for when we come back! The prices were comparable to the other accommodations, but the amenities made it a better value. The owner was a fantastic human who has turned the office into a lovely little gift shop and very welcoming place. We were also welcomed by a red fox on the road turning in. We stayed in many places during our 10-day excursion and this was one of the few places that we really wish we had been able to stay at longer. Please stay here, you won't regret it.
Disliked: The ONLY thing that might improve this place is lines in the parking lot. We arrived late and found that fellow travelers spaced themselves out in a way that made parking a small challenge. If there were lines, then they were hidden under cars ;)

Liked: The property was beautiful. Gentlemen at the front desk was great and had a sense of humour. We will be back.
Disliked: Bathroom was a bit small. But it works

Great one night stay in...

Liked: Loved the grounds with the outdoor pool and fire pit. The available BBQ was great to quickly make some burgers for dinner since everything else around was already closed. Staff were fantastic! Room was comfortable.
Disliked: The bathroom was a bit small with no counter space but for one night we managed as a family 4. We found it a bit damp in the beds, even with cool temps and the AC running.

Liked: Arrived during a heat wave and they had the air-conditioning on and the room was wonderfully cold. Very much appreciated. Quiet area, nice views, friendly staff and a very busy little restaurant at the end of the road. Definitely recommend this motel.
