The Pierre, A Taj Hotel is located across from Central Park at 61st Street. A part of the New York City skyline with its copper mansard roof, The Pierre offers guests white glove luxury service. The hotel is close to high-end shopping destinations and is only steps away from Bergdorf Goodman. The boutiques of Fifth & Madison Avenues are in close proximity. The Pierre has played host to many society events since opening in 1930. The hotel's restaurant, Perrine, offers seasonal modern American cuisine with daily specials inspired by Pierre culinary classics. The hotel also offers a bar/lounge, Two E, with traditional afternoon tea by day and live jazz by night every Thursday through Saturday. Located at the intersection of Midtown and the Upper East Side, white gloved elevator attendants, a Les Clefs d'Or concierge team and trained housekeepers help maintain the quality of service. The Pierre also has Forbes Five Star & AAA Five Diamond to their name. The Pierre offers a variety of exclusive experiences for young travelers as well. A host of child-friendly amenities await - from special treats to movies, toys and special museum passes on demand. The Museum Mile is 1.7 mi away. The Central Park Zoo is a short walk from the hotel, and the Concierge team can work with their partners at the Central Park Conservancy to organize special experiences for children. On arrival at the hotel, The Pierre requires a credit card pre-authorization to cover the value of your stay plus $200 per day to cover additional incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until check-out, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged.

Superb

Liked: Old charm, vintage feel. Housekeeping, staff at restaurant and concierge were excellent! Abraham the concierge took great effort to procure the required reservations, Sait and Sherman at the all day dining were extremely professional and very pleasant !
Disliked: Arrival and departure experience were poor. Saaransh at the Arrivals desk was very mechanical which went against the feel of a Taj experience.

Great place to stay in...

Liked: Great location. Quality rooms. Outstanding lobby set up and amazing staff. Rooms were spotless and daily service one of the best I have had.
Disliked: Breakfast restaurant was expensive, although food was very good.

Best hotel in NYC by...

Liked: Our family visited for my sister’s 30th birthday.The hotel is incredible - and the staff goes beyond expectations. Everyone is nice, attentive, professional and always happy to help.Rooms are beautifully decor dated and the Central Park view is unbelievable.Special shoutout to the Perrine team, especially Carmine, Massimo and Angelo + Victor for dinner. You guys rock! Special thanks also to the rest of the staff for making our stay so memorable and taking such good care of us.Also special shoutout to John and Jabir at the door and lobby. At the reception, Medvei for the smooth check-in and Kevens for the late check out. And special thanks to everyone else working at the elevators: Doris, Bisera and Mary… and also the other ladies. YOU GUYS ARE SO AMAZING!Having been to many hotels in NYC including Peninsula, Mandarin Oriental, JW Essex House, Baccarat, nothing comes close to the exceptional service of the Pierre. BEST HOTEL IN THE CITY BY FAR! The service was just perfect. THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY SISTERS 30TH BDAY SO MEMORABLE. We will be back very soon!
