The Pierhouse Hotel

Beautiful location,

Liked: Location and restaurant were excellent - staff friendly.
Disliked: Bathroom was tiny with a small plastic shower that gave way to every movement. A bit ridiculous of the hotel to describe it as “walk Iin”.. Shower control difficult to use. Tap very temperamental. Nowhere to put one’s things. Room also very small. No storage except hanging. Bed far too soft. The TV not a smart TV. All Very surprising given the room cost. No one offered to help with our cases up 2 flights. Breakfast was pretty average. My French toast swam in a sea of berry juice and very liquid yoghurt.

Wonderful location but the hotel...

Liked: The location is stunning. The restaurant manager was very charming and helpful. Some of the food was very good.
Disliked: If the weather is bad there isn’t enough room to sit around. The rooms with the back view are disappointing. There are midges in the area and so don’t understand why the hotel doesn’t install midge screens. My husband hates midges so we could not open the window at night. Some of the dishes were not good at all such as the artichoke heart salad. Houseplants were not watered and dying. It wasn’t clear if there was a hotel manager. It is very popular so perhaps it was not felt necessary to make hotel guests feel welcome.

NIce staff and nice food...

Liked: Breakfast and location was great.
Disliked: The ensuite toilet and the shower area was far too small and not in line with the high cost of the room.

Am Amazing Night at Appin!

Liked: Everything...staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient. The bedroom was comfortable especially the beds. Food was amazing and so bespoke. Loved every second of being there.
Disliked: There wasn't anything I didn't like.
