The Penny Farthing Hotel

Good value comfortable accomodation.

Liked: Clean, comfortable room and bathroom, everything in good condition. Great shower, plenty of on-site parking, friendly staff. The bottle of sparkling water was a nice touch. Air-con not working, but they did provide a fan.
Disliked: I didn't want to have to sign up to something to access the Wi-Fi, so I just used my data allowance.

Great for it's location and...

Liked: Staff were excellent, location for Berkhamsted was well situated. It's a bonus that it has a car park. Rooms were clean and facilities worked.
Disliked: The decor is tired, seems to be the case with all the properties the Akerman Group own. Some care and investment is needed to updated the interiors and other facilities adjacent to the main rooms.

Disliked: Dark room, limited natural light, decor very tired (worn furniture etc, bathroom needs regrouting); limited sound proofing from next doors room ( I could hear them having bath, watching tv)
