An ok hotel for London...

Liked: Location was good. Staff were courteous & welcoming. Nice enough decor & facilities.
Disliked: It was very pricey for what was a pretty average room, billed as superior but very small. All the taps in the bathroom leaked non-stop, a constant trickle from the shower & the sink. When we arrived there was a piece of loo roll with lipstick on it in the loo suggesting a not very thorough clean (although it seemed clean enough everywhere else so maybe this was an oversight). Very noisy hum of an AC unit outside which meant window had to be shut & you could still hear it at night. What I really didn’t like was being presented with a bill that included a service charge which we were given the option of declining but that looks churlish when you are placed in that position. You should pay staff enough that they don’t require ‘tips’ to be added to the bill. It was all the more awkward because they initially charged us for breakfast which was included in the rate when we booked. So I’d already questioned the invoice once and didn’t want to have to ask for this to be removed again. Service was charged on the room and the breakfast so added another £20 odd to the bill.

Liked: The room, a Junior Suite (?) was spacious, very confortable.
Disliked: It is definatelly not a 5 stars hotel.Staff is junior.The hotel is not in good shape. Kind of a little decadent.Breakfast was identical everyday. No imagination.The carpet on the room may need a deep clean. Whenever I entered the room, my renite appeared.
