Stayed 3 days during 'Memphis in May'. Within walking distance to everything. Great service, especially Kemp and Charles. Loved the ducks. Looking forward to returning.
Liked: Great atmosphere; great service.

The location is the advantage...
Liked: Excellent location. The hotels history speak for itself. Nicely decorated and the ducks are an added bonus. We found the room to be very small, but nicely furnished. Parking is quite expensive and 5 minute walk away, which when you have multiple bags in the heat is a little frustrating.
Disliked: It’s a very busy hotel, especially leading up to the duck ceremony. Residents of the hotel do not have a priority view as the lobby is open to the public. My advice is to get to the fountain a minimum of an hour before to get a good seat.

Great historical location, ducks were...
Liked: The history, the ducks, the location, the staff. Room was ok, small, basic but pretty comfortable. Standard amenities, no coffee pot. We ate dessert at the deli in the hotel, it was amazing!
Disliked: Our bathroom was the worst ever. It was tiny but…when you sat on the toilet you had to touch the metal leg of the sink stand (and I’m not a large person at all). This was repulsive, non hygienic, and barely tolerable. I used a washcloth to put between myself and the metal so I could sit there. Other than that, the comforter had a spot so it wasn’t laundered before us.

A wonderfully historic hotel, great...
Liked: Location is superb, just a 5 min walk to Beale StThe history of the Hotel and the Peabody Ducks experience make it worth a visit.
Disliked: Tough one, on the surface it’s a wonderful historic hotel, the front of house areas are all very well maintained and it feels very grand.Behind the scenes if you look closely the cracks appear:Rooms are tired, dated and cosmetically look poor.TV aren’t great to control, very old remote controls that are slow, no mini barMy room 1107 had chipped walls, stains down the wall by the windows, a shower that didn’t work very well, a tap that didn’t fit and trickled water, dirty shower curtains, dirty windows etc. Nothing overly major to ruin your stay but noticeable and not in line with a 4 star hotel.Valet parking at $42 per day all in is very expensive considering when you ring for your car from your room the valet boys never get the message from the front desk.Every single day we had a minimum 20 minute wait for our car after we had already rang 15 minutes earlier form the room to make sure it was there. You can park the car yourself cheaper in the hotel or use the even cheaper public car park opposite if you don’t want to pay for valet parking. The swimming pool shocked me a bit, the bottom of the pool is filthy and I stood in something suspect near the deep end, that was enough for me to get out. The hot tub is just an extra hot bath, it doesn’t actually bubble or provide any jets and is quite small. The food is pricey and wasn’t actually that good.We ate at two amazing steak houses after the first day/night which are far superior and were out of this world, Ruth’s Chris and Folk Folly, both are a 20 minute drive away though. You have lots choice within a short distance though.Trying to get a drink in the bar at busy times is difficult as it gets busy.I paid $1900 for 6 nights which included everything for us, room, food & drink on two occasions, valet parking, taxes etcThis review looks negative but it really wasn’t bad.

Liked: Location was great
Disliked: It was hot in the lobby and in the room. Changing the thermostat down only got the room as cold as 72 degrees.

Exceeded our expectations for a...
Liked: It really is the “Jewel of the South”! From the moment you walk in to the piano lounge you are greeted with a captivating fragrance that will lull you into a calm and relaxing disposition. Everything about our stay was perfect! We felt pampered by the staff, the amenities, the restaurant and bar. The rooms were well appointed and of course the duck march is a bonus! Didn’t get to visit the dick palace as it was being remodeled, but that’s ok just another excuse to come back! The Peabody deli had delectable desserts, and the Peabody gift shop had a grand assortment of everything duck:) Great drinks at the corner bar, great drinks at the lobby bar. We used the gym, pool and jacuzzi daily which were well maintained. So happy we extended our stay to 3 nights before driving to Nashville for another 3 nights. Once our vacation came to an end, and we landed in California my kids and husband said “we’ll always have the Peabody!” And indeed we will in our hearts and memories.
Disliked: Only one complaint is the pool area had what seemed to be a baby roach problem. We set our complimentary hot teas on the tables as we enjoyed the pool. When we came out for a sip, I noticed one baby roach near it, when I opened it up there was one in the tea! Upon closer look, there were several crawling around the lounge chairs. Not sure why this was since the entire area was immaculate and clean.

Liked: Loved all the ducky items in the room. Bed was super comfortable. Great location and beautiful lobby. So cool to see the ducks. Wish we could have stayed an extra night and taken the tour of the Peabody. Walkable to Beale Street. We enjoyed walking to Gus's Fried Chicken!
Disliked: Inner shower curtain liner could have been longer
