Liked: Spa excellent .fat boy restaurant meal was very good..
Disliked: Poor room very drafty..cold..Breakfast was cold not hot ...reception staff poor and rude old woman Front door to reception to small .standing in hallway Not suitable for disabled person. Old disabled man struggled to get in front door. Did not expect to live in a out house on the grounds very steep stair. Squeaky and of need of repainting. gutters overflowing with leaves etc windows are needing replaced THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR ESTABLISHMENTS.. Check out was qued out the front door young receptionist on phone . Not a good night's sleep

Great efficient stopover on way...

Liked: Peaceful, friendly and relaxing, with a touch of charm, yet just off the main road into York. Lovely breakfast. Great value for money.

Liked: The breakfast was a bit cold and the beans and mushrooms were dried out. Not a lot of fruit options
Disliked: It's a lovely location but needs a little update we thought, tatty wallpaper, scuffed paint and doorways, brightening up in the rooms. Also having to pay for towels in the pool seemed wrong and no bathrobes to relax in .
