Lovely hotel but pricey

Liked: Simple room with usual basic amenities for £126 per night. A lot of money when breakfast is an additional £30.. That’s £156 for little more than a Premiere Inn type room

Excellent.

Liked: Cannot comment on breakfast as we left early. The room, staff, reception were excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. It was very hot and the fan, that was provided, worked quite well.
Disliked: No air conditioning but we only get 37 degree heat probably twice a year and it was on the day we were staying !!!!

Top quality hotel in Barnstaple

Liked: The staff were, friendly, polite and efficient. The room was a very good standard, clean and comfortable we had a good night's sleep. Lovely bathroom with an excellent shower.Breakfast was good and more than just basic options. Coffee was poor and weak, if you wanted a decent cup you had to pay extra which was a bit of a shame as the rest was very good. It was much better than I expected. I thought it would be 'standard'. It was very high quality.
Disliked: More vegan options for the breakfast and dinner menus would have been better and not charging extra for good coffee.Otherwise it was an very good stay.

The room is clean but...

Liked: Both the rooms for single and double occupancy were small. The bed was comfortable and clean
Disliked: The rooms were given on the other part of the property a sepearte building which was not mentioned earlier.
