An excellent and comfortable short...

Liked: An old property that has really and truly been renovated throughout to bring it to the point it feels brand new!Clean, bright, modern, with large bedrooms, big comfy beds, large clean bathrooms with showers that have more power than needed (difficult to find today) and towels that appear brand new!Plenty of parking where SUV’s actually fit in a space marking! Beautiful and simple, well kept gardens!Bright and cheerful, spacious lounges, bars and dining rooms with outside serving!Very obliging and cheerful staff!On top of all that, a beautiful park is across the road!
Disliked: Hard to think of anything… which says a lot! Bravo to everyone that works there and the management that keeps it up to speed and specs! ….and especially a round of appreciation to gardener / groundsmen

Decent Stay for One Night...

Liked: The property is okay overall. Its location is convenient if you’re traveling to Exmoor, and it’s only about 30 minutes from Valley of Rocks, which was great for us.The parking area is spacious, which is a big plus. The restaurant closes around 20:30, so if you’re planning to eat there, make sure to reserve in advance.The rooms are on the smaller side, and unfortunately, the shower in room 303 had extremely low water pressure—definitely something to improve.All in all, it’s suitable for a one-night stay

A very comfortable stay in...

Liked: The room was very comfortable with an attractive view over the park opposite. The road outside was quiet and it was a short walk into town. The food at breakfast and in the evening was well cooked and very tasty. The bar area was spacious and welcoming and all of the staff were pleasant and friendly. Parking spaces were available at the rear of the hotel.
Disliked: As with the majority of hotels, there was only one comfortable chair in the room.
