The Spotlight on The Paloma Resort

Chic Desert Escape with Easy Access to Palm Springs Music Venues

Modern, tranquil, and distinctly stylish, The Paloma Resort is a 4-star gem nestled in Cathedral City—just a short drive from central Palm Springs. With its lush gardens, refreshing outdoor pool, and elegant Spanish-inspired touches, this resort offers a serene yet vibrant base for concert-goers heading to shows in the Palm Springs area.
Guests enjoy access to a hot tub, wellness-focused fitness center, and a charming courtyard terrace, all just 2.5 miles from Palm Springs International Airport.

Why Concert-goers love it

The Paloma Resort is less than 15 minutes by car from major venues like the Palm Springs Convention Center, making it a convenient home base before and after the show. The area is calm and quiet, so you’ll get a peaceful night’s rest after the encore. Late check-in from 4:00 PM and a helpful concierge team make it easy to go with the flow, even if your concert runs late.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a fun, stylish stay with poolside vibes
  • Solo travelers ticking off a dream concert in Palm Springs
  • Couples turning a gig into a romantic weekend retreat
  • Fans seeking a quiet escape after a high-energy show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers wanting great amenities without the downtown price tag

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant serves flavorful Spanish cuisine with vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free options. There’s also a bar for pre-show cocktails or a nightcap. While there's no 24/7 room service, the staff can recommend nearby spots for late-night bites, and breakfast is available so you can recharge after a long night.

Nightlife Options

While the resort itself leans more relaxing than rowdy, it's a short ride to downtown Palm Springs’ buzzing nightlife, with lounges, clubs, and live music bars ready to keep the party going. Prefer to chill? Grab a drink at the hotel bar and enjoy the quiet charm of the desert evening.

What People Say

Reviews praise the beautiful pool and grounds, friendly multilingual staff, and the resort’s relaxing ambiance. Many guests highlight the cleanliness and style of the rooms, and enjoy the balance between a peaceful stay and easy access to concerts and city attractions.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the location feels a little removed from the hustle of downtown Palm Springs—but that’s also part of the charm for those wanting a quieter stay. Also, while the restaurant is great, there aren’t a ton of walkable dining options if you're looking for variety late at night.

The Bottom Line

If you’re headed to a concert in Palm Springs and want a stylish, peaceful, and well-located resort to unwind before and after the show, The Paloma Resort is a top pick.

A wonderful getaway trip over...

Liked: A great boutique hotel. We stayed in a one (king) bed bungalow that was situated behind the pool which we loved because it gave us good access back and forth. Plenty of lounge chairs (did not require a day bed but we did reserve one and it was great too). The manager was super accommodating to every request. Bathroom was big with a big shower. Pool food was great. Drinks were good too! Was able to bring our own drinks out to the pool area too.
Disliked: The room should be equipped with more towels. Kitchen: utensils, simple plate ware, and maybe a small microwave? It has a fridge and sink so it would have been easy to prepare our own food with these little extras.

Fantastic customer service with clean...

Liked: The service here was wonderful. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. The bar by the pool staff were all super kind. I couldn't drink alcohol because I'm pregnant, and they made me nonalcoholic drinks. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Parking was right by our room, so that was also super convenient.
Disliked: I can't think of anything. It was all really nice.

Very good

Liked: I got to enjoy the Hotel for one day the rest of the time we dealt with the weather....
Disliked: Both hotels need a little refurbishing and maybe a little more employees..What I've always disliked is having to check in at 4pm and check out at 11Am you lose a day...Oh yeah, once again the lighting or the lack of !! The blinds are in need of replacement or repair, when shut the blinds are open just enough to see in into the bathroom!!

Great getaway

Liked: Cute spot with historic roots of Palm Spring. Offer pickleball, bike, pool, jacuzzi, lots of areas to lounge.
Disliked: Due to the wind the pool and hot tub did get a bit leafy but that is out of their control.
