The Palace Hotel

Very good

Liked: The swimming pool was nice and the bubble pool was relaxing.
Disliked: The WiFi in the single room wasn't very good. The WiFi kept cutting out so I had to go downstairs near reception for a stronger WiFi signal.

Nice hotel value for money,staff...

Liked: Convenient location,maids excellent,breakfast good.
Disliked: Could be more clear regarding the services they offer.

Liked: Room was at the back of the hotel so it was quiet. The bed was huge. Breakfast was great. Overall hotel is nice and clean with lots of room to have a drink or relax either inside on the balcony or the garden,
Disliked: The breakfast is now self service and there was a queue for coffee. The large plates were cold and so by the time you had filled your plate with hot food and returned to your table the food was cold. We did have a problem getting back into the hotel after a night out with friends. We returned at 11:15pm to find the door locked and all the lights out. We rang the bell several times, even walking around the front of the hotel to the gardens and found another person sat in the garden chairs as he couldnt get in either. We eventually managed to get in as the night porter arrived from somewhere. We were ringing the bell and i even called the hotel phone number and no on answered. When we got inside after over 20 minutes the night porter told us that we had only been there for 5 minutes. So we were not best pleased.

Liked: Good location, short walk to shops, bus and train stations. Great facilities and customer service.

Liked: Clean and today. Plenty of space.
Disliked: A bit dated. Needs some modernisation in places.

Disliked: Don’t like breakfast anymore just think it spoils the fact you are coming to a lovely hotel but you serve yourself don’t do that in a cheap B+B if it was just for the summer I could understand but it is not
