Financially damaging.

Liked: The hotel itself was fantastic.. the rooms, the bar the food all great.. I loved the record player in the rooms.. has a great vibe
Disliked: Unfortunately the hotel not only took a holding charge (which I expected) but then proceeded to do it 4 more times.. accumulating to $28,000 USD on my debit card. This remained like this for 10 days post my trip- as a single mum.. can you imagine the financial impact that had on me? What was the response from the manager at the hotel ?? “Here is 80,000 loyalty points”.. hardly enough for one night stay! This doesn’t not even scratch the surface on “making good” with me. There was no explanation to the extra 4 transaction holds.. very very disappointing… and I will not be recommending the Otis to anyone…

Disliked: Requests being made multiple times, took forever to accommodate ,hold on cc kept getting removed and added multiple times causing issues with my bank.Getting hold of mgmt was a nightmare.Expected better from a high end hotel.

Liked: Very comfortable, well-appointed facilities. I liked the retro vibe.
Disliked: Parking fees are outrageous

Liked: The Otis is a super cool hotel with a great restaurant and bar downstairs and an even cooler rooftop bar/pool upstairs. The servers were all professional and so helpful. I love the vibe of the hotel with all the great music always playing. Rooms are comfortable and chic.
Disliked: While the music always playing in the hotel is very cool, my room was on the fourth floor right over the entrance with the valet. The music is quite loud on the street, but in the middle of the night/early morning, it is disruptive to sleep. They should definitely turn it off during sleeping and early morning hours. The valet charge is also really high at $65!

Smart hotel with fab pool....

Liked: Perfect location for UT. Liked the room and facilities even though unusual layout with bathroom as you enter but this wasn’t an issue for us. Could have done with more drawer space and towels were not great. Record player cool touch but as others have said May be more useful to have a fridge. Pool was fab and spent many hours poolside and at the rooftop bar. Biggest issue we had was with noise. Some to be expected from road but on one night there was music blaring until 4am. Desk claimed to be unaware. Would request a room away from the front entrance if I stayed again as could hear the music played into the street. Overall a great - if pricey - stay.
