Disappointing

Liked: Dreadful! The food was cold, the juices were empty when we came in, coffee was instant & the water in the urn was luke warm. I ate because I was hungry but had an upset tummy later in the day. We stayed for 2 nights; the 2nd morning we were told we were not booked in until reception confirmed we were. We have stayed here before over the years & find that it has gone very down hill so won't be staying again.
Disliked: The food & having to get reception to confirm we booked breakfast - not an acceptable service quite frankly. My parents room resembled a student hostel!

Liked: Lovely old character building. The bar area and reception are nice. Most of the staff are friendly
Disliked: We stayed a few years ago when it was much nicer. The room we had was in the extended part of the building and was very tired. The beds were not comfortable. The breakfast is now a buffet style. Decent quality food but lukewarm at best . Toaster didn't work properly. Juice, etc, not kept topped up. Only instant coffee. There used to be a large breakfast restaurant with well set tables a larger variety of food and table service. Now it is smaller and more canteen like and spills out into the bar.

Cheap double beds mean poor...

Disliked: What’s the point in massive rooms with tiny beds that have cheap mattresses, not a good nights sleep at all
