Very good

Liked: Location right in the centre of town, with free parking.Helpful, friendly staff.Good restaurant.Comfortable, well-furnished public rooms & bar.Full breakfast included in room-rate.
Disliked: Raucous canned music, that adds nothing to the amenities of the hotel.Steep stairs to upper rooms (in an avowedly old building) -- which old or infirm guests may find difficult.Room 4: overhead light of miserably low wattage..

Delightful old English country town...

Liked: A quintessentially English hotel, brimming with history and character, located in the very attractive old town of Bridgewater. Eclectically and tastefully decorated. Very good dinner and good selection of wines.
Disliked: The breakfast wasn't great. More fresh fruit and a greater variety of breads (croissant for example or seeded, grainy brown bread) and home made jams would have been nice.

Comfortable and friendly

Liked: We stayed at the hotel for a family reunion. Our very large room had a really comfortable 2m bed and the separate shower in the bathroom was hot and powerful. The staff were very helpful and friendly, particularly Connor, where nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was a good.
