Hotel Description
A former railway station set in 2 acres of landscaped garden The Old Station Guest House consists of of the main building and a train carriage converted into suites. Guests can practice their golf on the lawns while the famous seafront St Andrews Links are a 10-minute drive. The Old Station has been fully renovated and features modern bedrooms decorated in a traditional style with sash windows and warm tones. Carriage suites come with a small kitchen area while all accommodations comes en suite with tea/coffee-making facilities and a TV with satellite channels. Continental and cooked breakfasts are served daily in the bright breakfast room which used to be the station platform. For other meals guests are just 5 minutes' drive from the center of St Andrews with its variety of restaurants. The 4-star Old Station Guest House also offers a billiards room and library with free Wi-Fi in public areas. There are several more golf courses within a 20-minute drive.

We had a lovely relaxing...

Liked: The location was a 5 minute drive from St Andrews and the grounds were exceptional and the hosts and staff were very hospitable.
Disliked: A full length mirror in the bedroom would have been good.The toilet paper could have been better quality.

Nice weekend break

Liked: Peaceful location, comfortable facilities, easy parking, good location, friendly hosts.
Disliked: Restricted breakfast times. Misinformation on the site (no red squirrels in area).

A rare opportunity to stay...

Liked: We stayed in the old converted railway carriage - a unique experience! It was extremely clean with lovely furnishings, lots of hot water and a very comfortable bed. Our hosts Dean and Ailsa were extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was beautifully cooked to order and the local strawberries were incredible! We would stay again in a heartbeat!

SHOCKING behaviour by owner of...

Disliked: Arrived at 15:43 pm to find nobody at all at the propertyLeft at 15:51pm as still nobody present. Then received a phone call at 19:02pm from the proprietor asking if I was turning up. I explained what had happened and due to not having accommodation I had to drive back to Newcastle. He then went on to call me a liar and apparently had footage of me there at 2:20pm approx on his ring door bell. Absolutely disgusting behaviour Also kept my payment with no refundMy photos show time stamp

Quirky stay with gorgeous outdoor...

Liked: Lovely b&b in gorgeous grounds. Easily accessible to town by short taxi or drive. Hosts were lovely and breakfast was nice. Little games room to relax and have a drink and have a game of pool or board games. Would definitely return. We stayed in the carriage which was quirky and something different.
Disliked: Nothing.

Disappointing

Liked: breakfast was very good
Disliked: bedroom very basic , no hot water for a bath as no water came out the tap , shower was a trickle and bathroom was very cold as towel rail/heating had been switched off . bed was hard and pillows soft and lumpy .
