We were made to feel...

Liked: The Old Stables B&B was full of character. Our host, Jeff was very friendly and welcoming, and made us a drink when we arrived. We had a great chat before he showed us to our room, which was lovely. It was filled with antique furniture! A bed side table each, a wardrobe cupboard to use, and lots of little Antique ornaments. It was tastefully done. I asked about tea and coffee making facilities, and he explained that we could use the facilities in the Kitchen, whenever was convenient to us, and showed us where everything was. I very much liked that. The bed was very comfortable, and the en-suite was well stocked with little extra’s.Even though we were only there for two nights, it was great to be able to unpack and put our clothes away. Breakfast was continental style, and very good. There was Yoghurt, Fruit Juice, a good range of assorted cereals, Blueberries, Cheese, fresh fruit, toast and preserves. And again, as much tea and coffee as you wanted.Jeff did ask if there was anything he could do to improve our room, and I said the room was great, but that a second chair would be useful as it was a double room. That way, you could both sit and watch the Television, instead of one person sitting on the bed, although that wasn’t a particular problem. He took that suggestion on board and would put another one in the room. We told him that we would definitely stay again, if we visited the area.
