We had a lovely relaxing...

Liked: The hotel had just been refurbished when we got there so it was just perfect - fresh, clean, modern and well appointed with a lovely indoor/outdoor eating area
Disliked: Nothing

Dissapointing

Liked: Staff, and lovely view. I had a nice cocktail in the bar.
Disliked: The bedroom wardrobe was very dusty the Louvre doors looked like they have never been cleaned. I did mention this to the receptionist who was lovely, when I was leaving the premises The bathroom floor had cracked tiles. Breakfast they said there wasn’t any hash browns or granary bread until it was delivered after 9am.

Hotel full of character in...

Liked: Lovely old building in a Stunning location in the heart of the lovely town of Fowey. Great breakfast choice & helpful staff. A drink on their Patio with the views of the harbour is a must.
Disliked: Its location in the heart of the town made unloading with bags awkward but it just needs a bit of planning as others have said. Stop in the road quickly drop bags then drive to 24hr carpark up the road a bit. Ten minute walk back.

One week summer stay in...

Liked: Excellent food quality in restaurant, particularly breakfast. Location was central and convenient for holiday activities, shops, etc.
Disliked: Room was small and cramped and lacked air conditioning or fridge during what was a hot week. Seagull noise all night was bad and will put us off from staying here again.Staff were generally OK but we were not impressed by staff at dinner on our final evening. We were ignored while waiting for our table and staff should have been more attentive.

Well, we tried it..

Liked: The location was excellent.
Disliked: Parking was a 10 min walk.Pillows were like rocks. The view was of a sea gull squawking all night on a roof top.Lack of food provision for breakfast. Nowhere to sit in the evening when food is being served.

Lovely location but real life...

Liked: The hotel is in a great spot in Fowey on the Main Street with great access to bars/restaurants/pubs and the water.
Disliked: We booked a standard room and hadn’t appreciated how noisy it would be early in the morning. Vans were unloading probably from around 5.30am. Bottles for recycling were emptied, shops received deliveries. All the activities of a working town, but not ideal if you are on holiday and trying to have a lie in. Also, the hotel is obviously undergoing a face lift. Workmen are on the property and are moving tables and chairs around, areas are being painted. I’m sure it will be lovely when it’s finished.

Mixed feelings!

Liked: Beautiful room and excellent breakfast with wonderful riverside views
Disliked: \my friend's accommodation was cancelled a few weeks before our visit. She was allowed half a week at the hotel but had to find her own accommodation for the remainder of the visit with no help or suggestions Whilst accepting that situations change, this booking was made a year ago so she was a little disappointed
