Fun weekend in Nola... a...

Liked: Coffee at the little cafe was amazing! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was very spacious and the beds were comfy. Loved the ceiling fan in the room, kept the temperature perfect the whole time. Great location, just far enough away for some quiet, but close enough to the action to walk everywhere.
Disliked: Bathroom could have been cleaner. Hallways in the Lafayette side are very dark which makes everything feel a little creepy. Also, the overhead light in the room turned on and then off again in the middle of the night... freaky to say the least.

The overall stay, the friendly...

Liked: We enjoyed the overall ambience of the Old 77. The lobby was very conducive to meeting up with our family members each morning to relax with a cup of coffee and plan the day.The morning coffee bar was a lovely luxury ~ though not inexpensive. Additionally, venturing to historic Jackson Square or visiting Cafe Du Mond was an easy walk~ even if you are not an athlete! Finally, there are many wonderful cafes and restaurants close to the hotel.
Disliked: I was a bit taken aback at almost no rugs on the floors. The bare wood was a bit cold.

Liked: Location was great. Close enough to walk to the quarter. Close enough to walk to convention center. Super clean and hip. The coffee is INCREDIBLE and the breakfast is top notch. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud. The staff is the best I've seen, especially Britney. She was so incredibly sweet when I was in tears thinking I was going to sleep in my car because didnt fully charge the business card. Easily the best hotel I've ever stayed at.
Disliked: I didnt like that when I booked a non-refundable room on it only charged a deposit even though it looked like it charged the whole amount. When I showed up on a business trip I was suddenly responsible for $700 payment when my confirmation was designed to look like it had all been put on the business card (no way for me to check statement). This is no fault of Old 77, 100% a fault of but beware.

Great place to stay, close...

Liked: Right in the centre of the city with most things of interest within walking distance. Modern & vibrant hotel.
Disliked: Not much really, rooms a little small with little storage but overall for a city centre hotel it was very good value.

Liked: It was very close to the convention center.
Disliked: Water-flushing was so noisy that I could not skeep well on the 1st day. But the hotel understood my seriousness and changed the room on the 2nd day. After that I slept well for the rest of my stay.
