Lovely place

Liked: The rooms are very comfy and quiet with black out curtains. And excellent showers. Staff are really friendly and helpful
Disliked: Food was the only.let down. Very over priced and you don't get what the menu says..I questioned both instances but let sleeping dogs... But the pancakes are not fluffy and the steak is in fact bacon!! 😂

Perfect for a weekend escape...

Liked: My wife and I wanted a cosy place to stay between a day in Bath and a day in Salisbury. It was exactly what we were looking for. The Old Mill struck a perfect balance between historic and cosy, with modern amenities - not to mention excellent and friendly service from the owner and all staff we interacted with. The location was perfect for a short walk into Salisbury. Breakfast was delicious.
Disliked: If you make the mistake of leaving your window cracked open a little in the night, with the light switched on, your room will fill pretty quickly with midges. That's to be expected so close to the water and was not the fault of the owner or property. Just something for other guests to bear in mind.

Would certainly like to visit...

Liked: The staff and the atmosphere and fabulous location. Also our room had been tastefully appointed.
Disliked: Breakfast was disappointing after a great dinner the night before. For example Bircher muesli and compote was not what I would have expected(mainly cornflakes) a bit of a disappointment.

Exceptional

Liked: I liked The Location ,at the end of Town Walk & I liked Staying in an old Mill with Nice Views and The Gargling water of the Mill race helped me to Sleep .The Food Was Very Good The Staff were Friendly & Helpful & The Choices of Beers & Ciders was Outstanding!
Disliked: What I didn't like was that I had to go home after only three nights I would have been happy staying for 3 Weeks -I liked Salisbury immensely .

Great hospitality in exceptional surroundings.

Liked: The location is absolutely exceptional, a wonderful old building in beautiful surroundings.

No good for business use

Liked: Lovely building and lovely setting
Disliked: Breakfast started at 9am ??There on business, so absolutely no good for me, and are there really that many people who get up that late?Pity

Exceptional

Liked: Great accommodation. Food superb. The new manager and Tracy were fantastic.
Disliked: Room slightly noisy at night. A higher up room would have been quieter.

The new management is finding...

Liked: The dining room was not available so dinner and breakfast was in the bar which we were not used to. Breakfast was not available before 9.00 am so we had to change our train times. It was ok.
Disliked: Dinner and breakfast as mentioned above

Lovely relaxing stay

Liked: Location was dreamy and from another world. On the Avon. Yet a short walk from town. Our bedroom was overlooking the river with the mill underneath providing a relaxing sound and drowned out human noise too late at night. Bed very comfortable too. We had breakfast which was good quality.
Disliked: The taps were odd. Too close to the sink. Water scoldingly hot. Staff a little inattentive. Tight squeeze to park in car park as non residents allowed in.
