Wish we could have stayed...

Liked: A thoroughly enjoyable visit to The Old Manse. Parking was easy. An excellent base to explore the charming village of Pickering and the surrounding countryside in the Dales.A lovely building with great rooms. It was light, airy and very spacious, and spotlessly clean.Breakfast was served in the conservatory overlooking a beautiful garden.. a great way to start the day!The young lady who served us was very helpful and lovely and Val was a perfect Hostess. Thank you for a great stay.

A little gem in Pickering

Liked: A little gem in Pickering! Friendly and welcoming, clean and comfortable. Lovely cooked breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. Top marks!Hint: you can organise an evening meal but only in advance. I wasn't aware of that. However, there is an excellent fish and chip shop down the road!

An ideal choice for visiting...

Liked: Excellent property and location - just what we wanted for an overnight stay. A short walk from the town centre which has a great choice of places to eat. Would highly recommend.

Liked: Position, peaceful, lovely, homely dining / sitting room with great gardens and view
Disliked: Just a personal preference, but I like it darker at night and unfortunately the blinds (although nice and new) weren’t ‘ideal’
