Fabulous stay in an historical...

Liked: We were made to feel valued and welcomed by all staff, from the first email confirming our booking to the time we left. A fabulous building, telling its own historical narrative, with elements of interest everywhere. The garden, the location, the subtle ring of the cathedral bells. Our bedroom had amazingly high ceilings, our sash window had the original old glass in and we faced the cathedral. The room and bathroom were spacious and elegant.
Disliked: Nothing. I appreciated the opportunity to spend time in the building.

Ideal location and lovely staff...

Liked: The location on was perfect right in the centre, perfect for visiting the city. The lunch menu was limited but the food was lovely . Breakfast was a taster menu which was nice but would have preferred a full english. The staff were absolutely fantastic, lovely service couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly
Disliked: We had room 11 which was supposed to be a superior room( which clearly wasn’t) it was very dated. The bathroom was in need of an overhaul, the shower head was broken and the pipe was also leaking. The toilet rim needed a good scrub and the extractor fan didn’t which caused the mould. The room was big but in need of some attention. It was really hot and you couldn’t open the window because of the blinds. The lighting was really bad so the room was very dark. There was a fan but it was really loud so couldn’t have it on all night
