The Spotlight on The Old Bridge

Charming Riverside Stay in Huntingdon

A refined, boutique-style hotel in the heart of Huntingdon, The Old Bridge blends classic English charm with modern comforts. Housed in a historic building overlooking the River Great Ouse, it offers a peaceful retreat just a short stroll from the town centre and a quick drive or train ride to nearby music venues.
Expect elegant rooms with air conditioning, free WiFi, and thoughtful touches like DVD players and bathrobes.

Why Concert-goers love it

The Old Bridge is just a 2-minute drive from Huntingdon Train Station, making it easy to get to gigs in Cambridge and beyond. After the show, return to a tranquil setting with quiet rooms for a restful night. The flexible 14:30 check-in lets you settle in before heading out, and the 11:00 check-out gives you enough time to recharge the next morning.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a classy base with shared spaces like the terrace and garden
- Solo travelers seeking a comfortable stay with easy transport links
- Couples turning a concert night into a romantic weekend
- Fans needing a quiet retreat after the energy of a live show
- Budget-conscious music lovers who appreciate value without sacrificing style

Food and Drink Options

The on-site restaurant serves local specialties in a classic setting — great for a pre- or post-show meal. There's also a cozy bar on-site for a nightcap. While there's no mention of 24/7 room service, the staff is known for being accommodating, and late-night options can be found nearby. Breakfast is available and perfect for sleeping in after a big night out.

Nightlife Options

While The Old Bridge itself is more about relaxed luxury than party vibes, you're just a short walk or taxi ride from Huntingdon’s pubs and bars. For those heading to Cambridge for gigs, the city's buzzing nightlife is only 20 miles away, making it easy to combine music and socialising.

What People Say

Guests rave about the friendly staff, spotless rooms, and beautiful riverside location. The food and wine list at the restaurant get high praise, and many note the hotel’s peaceful atmosphere as a huge bonus after a big night. Reviewers also appreciate the free parking and convenient access to the train station.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the building’s historic charm means a few rooms can feel a little dated, and there's no elevator, which could be a factor if you're carrying heavy bags after a long night. Still, most agree the atmosphere more than makes up for any quirks.

The Bottom Line

With its riverside charm, excellent food, and easy access to transport, The Old Bridge is a relaxing and stylish base for concert-goers exploring the Huntingdon and Cambridge music scene.
