The Spotlight on The Old Bakery

Charming Kenilworth Stay Near Music & Culture

Tucked away on Kenilworth’s historic High Street, The Old Bakery is a cozy, traditional hotel with a warm, countryside vibe. This charming property blends classic English character with modern comforts, and it's conveniently located within 6 miles of Warwick Castle and an easy drive from local music venues in Coventry and Birmingham. With free WiFi, private parking, and comfortable family rooms, it’s a great base for a concert-filled weekend.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're heading to a show at the NEC Birmingham, Ricoh Arena, or FarGo Village, you're in luck—The Old Bakery puts you within a 20–30 minute drive of all three. After a night out, the peaceful location ensures a quiet night’s sleep away from the city noise. With free parking available, it's a great choice for those driving in for a gig, and check-in from 3 PM gives you time to settle in before the music starts.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends on a concert road trip
- Solo travelers ticking off a dream tour date
- Couples making a romantic weekend of it
- Fans needing a calm recovery spot after a loud night
- Budget-conscious music lovers looking for value and comfort

Food and Drink Options

The Old Bakery features an on-site bar perfect for a pre-show drink or post-concert wind-down. While there's no late-night room service, you're just a short stroll from Kenilworth’s popular pubs and eateries. Breakfast is available on-site—great for those slow mornings after a late night out.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is on the quieter side, Kenilworth has a handful of local pubs and wine bars perfect for low-key evenings. For those wanting more action, downtown Coventry and Birmingham nightlife are both within easy reach by car or taxi.

What People Say

Guests consistently praise the hotel’s friendly staff, clean and cozy rooms, and the peaceful atmosphere. Reviewers also love the central Kenilworth location, making it easy to explore or head out to nearby shows.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the rooms can be compact, and the check-out time of 10:30 AM might feel a bit early after a night out. But overall, most agree the comfort and charm more than make up for it.

The Bottom Line

A quiet and charming retreat for concert-goers who want comfort, convenience, and a touch of classic English charm—without the downtown chaos.
