Disliked: Quite noisy between the rooms.

Comfortable stay in the PERFECT...

Liked: The Ocean Plaza hotel was immaculately clean. Check-in was a breeze — I showed up late and the instructions for check-in were very clear and any info I’d need was thoughtfully provided for me. The rooms were comfortable and despite the building itself likely being a bit on the older side, there was very little sound disturbance from other rooms aside and above me.

We liked Ocean Grove and...

Liked: The location, the breakfast, and the porches.
Disliked: Our room. It was small and dark. There were 3 windows - two of them looked out to the breakfast room so we kept the curtains closed, and one was barely a view of the ocean. We paid for an ocean view room. It was disappointing. It was overpriced for what we thought we would get.

Liked: It was so nice to have a hotel experience that didn’t feel corporate. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was tasty (loved the breakfast egg and cheese sliders), and the building is a beautiful old Victorian home. Good water pressure in the shower too, and complimentary snacks. Felt like a very reasonable rate for what we were given. Loved waking up early and going for morning walks on the beach less than a block away. Felt like I was staying in a real place instead of somewhere generic, and they weren’t trying to nickel-and-dime us.
Disliked: Bathroom could use some fresh sealant around the shower. Sound travels a bit from the hallway into the room, though that comes with the territory in a converted old house.
