Great stopover - handy for...

Liked: Although facing the road the room was quiet during the night. Large room, firm comfortable bed, decent shower, tea and coffee making facilities with a couple of biscuits provided.Dinner was better than anticipated - more restaurant standard than pub grub - we enjoyed both dishes ordered.Key drop off point for early departures, direct access to the car park.Friendly welcome and friendly efficient staff.
Disliked: The wine prices per glass were a bit steep.

Passable...just about

Liked: The food at the restaurant was very good. The room was spacious, as was the parking area.
Disliked: Staff were not very friendly...not rude but just not really any smiles or looking like they wanted to be there.The room was not particularly clean, just about passable. The sheets and towels were all dirty/stained.There was a speaker attached to the wall by the room window and it was quite loud, even though there was no reason for it to be there!
