The Northwick Arms Hotel

We stayed at the Northwick Hotel because it is convenient for the Regal Cinema just a short walk away. We didn't know what to expect but were very pleasantly surprised; the staff were friendly and helpful; the room was spacious and warm and the full English Breakfast was first class.

Liked: The staff were very helpful and friendly; the room was spacious and warm (on a very cold night); the bed was extremely comfortable and everywhere was very clean.
Disliked: Nothing that we noticed.

Would not rebook again.

Liked: No air conditioning … just a rattling fan and windows in poor condition, covered in spider webs and only able to open using a sliding double glazed panel giving 8 inches of opening.
Disliked: Most parts of hotel are very tired but was only option in area as we were there for a local funeral.

Would recommend

Liked: Lovely neat and tidy hotel with friendly staff. Unique suite with mezzanine bedroom.

A good base

Liked: Friendly team. Room recently refurbished.
Disliked: Bed not great quality. Window didn’t open at all on a hot night.

Liked: Third time staying here and was kindly upgraded to the Baroness Suite, which was incredible!
Disliked: I would suggest a few biscuits and bottle of water in the room.

Smart modernised hotel, well placed...

Liked: Looks smart, freshly decorated. Plenty of space in our room. Breakfast offered a wide range of food and drinks, well presented.
Disliked: The walk from Reception to our room had several sets of stairs and corners (and fire doors). Would be tricky with a large suitcase. More signage to Reception would have been helpful.

Exceptional

Liked: Loved the bedroom being upstairs- very unusual
