Boasting spectacular views of the North Devon coastline from the hilltop town of Lynton The North Cliff Hotel is positioned some 500 feet over the shore below. Well within the Exmoor National Park guests can enjoy horse riding walking and cycling in the immediate area. Most of North Cliff's rooms have stunning views of the rugged coastline famous for stories of pirates and smugglers. Each room is decorated in light tones some with large or double aspect windows to make the most of the fresh sea air. An LCD TV and a kettle for tea and coffee are included. Breakfast is served in the bright dining rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows over look Lynmouth Bay. The town of Lynton is just 656 feet away and has many shops pubs and restaurants to enjoy. The local area has many options for the active traveler. From surfing to fishing to rock climbing the hotel is happy to provide information of nearby activity businesses.

Family Friendly, great food and...

Liked: Lovely owners, food amazing and great value! Made us feel very welcome and very family and dog friendly. I would stay again in the area.

Of 17 different places across...

Liked: We travelled Scotland and Germany staying at 17 different places on Booking.com, but this one topped them all: It was clearly a cut above the rest and a place I would return to time and again.This place is like a beautiful period chateau. Our room had a wonderful view over the ocean. The staff were exceptional and that with the building, I felt like a classy guest. They even played classical music at breakfast!Both Lynton town and the beach town of Lynmouth were beautiful places to spend many days relaxing.
Disliked: Why bother think abouts its negatives when it was just so wonderful!

Liked: Location, parking, staff was great.
Disliked: Windows of room 8 is dirty and hasn't been cleaned for quite a while.The bathroom sink tap needs attention.No access to the deck area, in fact the whole ground floor is shut at 7h00. No coffee machine going. The deck is the ONLY view, sitting area for us. We were like birds in a cage.We couldn't say goodbye when we left at 9h30 because the reception desk was still shut.

Great hotel and town. Would...

Liked: Great location with beautiful views from our room. Close to the Valley of the rocks footpath which we really enjoyed. Nice staff and good breakfast. The town was charming with good restaurants. Highly recommended!

Classic, stylish hotel with great...

Liked: Great view, English traditional style but stylish hotel. Clean. Very friendly owners and staffGood breakfast!We had room 7, which was large, quiet, and sitting on the couch a great view on the sea.. We didn’t need it, but they have 2 special large sitting rooms, with couches, books, games, fireplace.
Disliked: Bit challenging is the parking place.

Liked: Great breakfast and ideal location for both lynton and Lynmouth plus south coast path running directly in front of hotel entrance.
