The Spotlight on The New Yorker Miami Hotel

Colorful, Affordable Comfort Close to Miami’s Music Scene

Modern, eclectic, and full of Miami flair, The New Yorker Miami Hotel offers a budget-friendly boutique experience just under 6 miles from downtown. With bold artwork, bright interiors, and retro vibes, this hotel brings a unique splash of color to your concert trip.
Located on Biscayne Boulevard, it’s a convenient base whether you're headed to a major arena, a beachside venue, or a smaller club gig.

Why Concert-goers love it

With many of Miami’s top music venues less than 15 minutes away by car or rideshare, you won’t have to stress about long commutes before or after the show. The hotel’s 24-hour front desk and late-night security make it accessible and safe for those returning from late-night events. Plus, the quiet garden and poolside lounge area provide a chill space to wind down after the encore.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a fun, affordable weekend base
  • Solo travelers on a music pilgrimage
  • Couples combining concerts with a beachy escape
  • Fans who want a peaceful, post-show spot to recharge
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who still want style and comfort

Food and Drink Options

The hotel offers a daily continental breakfast, often served poolside in the Florida sunshine. While there's no on-site restaurant, you're steps away from plenty of local eateries along Biscayne Boulevard, many of which are open late. Perfect for grabbing a bite post-show. While room service isn’t available 24/7, the hotel’s central location makes it easy to grab something nearby.

Nightlife Options

While The New Yorker Miami Hotel doesn’t offer live music on-site, it’s a short ride from Miami’s buzzing nightlife. Whether you're heading to a gig in Wynwood, a bar in South Beach, or catching a DJ set downtown, you’re never far from the action. Afterward, retreat to the quiet, laid-back atmosphere of the hotel’s pool and garden area.

What People Say

Guests love the artsy decor, helpful staff, and easy access to both downtown and the beach. Reviews often mention the value for money and the cozy, boutique-style feel that’s hard to find at this price point. The free Wi-Fi and clean, comfortable rooms are also crowd favorites.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the rooms are on the smaller side, and the hotel’s retro charm might not suit travelers looking for ultra-modern luxury. Also, check-out is at 10:00 AM, which may feel a bit early after a late night out — but the staff is usually accommodating if you ask nicely.

The Bottom Line

A fun, funky, and affordable boutique hotel that puts you close to the music without breaking your budget — The New Yorker Miami Hotel is a solid pick for concert-goers looking to mix great shows with a splash of Miami color.

Super Nice Staff!!

Liked: We liked the reminder texts, the quick service when we could not get our door to lock (they immediately came to fix it), the kindness of the staff members, and the night security.
Disliked: Parking was VERY tight. There was plenty of parking but it was so hard to get in & out of. Also, it was not walking distance from anything really. Plus we had to kill a lot of ants in our room (everything was really clean, there were just a ton of ants somehow).

Reasonable price for transit stays,...

Liked: The hotel has a free parking area. It was nice to have free parking because we stayed just 1 night, and parking is one of the most annoying and pricey things in Miami. The hotel was close to the airport.
Disliked: We wanted to stay somewhere affordable since we were only staying for one night and leaving for Orlando the next morning. I can say that it's reasonably priced compared to Miami Beach, but other than that, you shouldn't have high expectations. It's not a location where you can spend time in the surrounding area; you'll need a car to get to places like Miami Beach. If your priority is an affordable price and you aren't staying with your family or children, you might consider staying here. However, if your priority is easy access to central locations and having a pleasant time, I would recommend choosing the Miami Beach area.

Nice place, bad service.

Liked: The location is not bad, I like the vibe of the hotel which feels like vacation. The room size is good.
Disliked: The staff was extremely rude. I had one of the worst checkin experience with the front. She wanted to take a copy of my credit card which I put a sticker on the ccv but she insisted on me taking it off. I told her I never had to do so as it adds a bit of security to the card, then she started lecturing me that people in this country wouldn't be too stupid to steal the credit card and such thing we don't want to go to jail, on and on, until I had to tell her ok I got it. The next day I went to borrow a towel which she said guests could borrow to go to the beach or the pool, but they she looked at me like I did something wrong and kept saying, don't forget to return it, like she didn't trust me or so. All of this made the whole experience pretty bad for me.Also, the room was always smelled like chlorine all the time. They use too strong cleaning agent.
