The New Yorker Miami Hotel

Basic stay.

Liked: Staff on the desk were friendly and helpful. The free coffee and bagels for breakfast were a nice touch too.
Disliked: We didn't feel particularly safe there as the area isn't great.

Pleasant

Liked: The location was excellent. The connection to town by bus 3 worked well. Starbucks is next block and a couple food places around..
Disliked: It was in fact rather a motel-style than a hotel, so it felt somewhat overpriced to us. Also, breakfast options were the same every day: things like fruits and yoghurt would have been nice.

Overall I’d never book here...

Liked: The property was located in a great place and was a very close drive to most of the things we wanted to do.
Disliked: The pictures make it look a lot nicer, the bar and pool area were run down and my biggest issue, the roaches. We found them in our mini fridge, in the bathroom in various places and under our bed. It was disgusting and we couldn’t get out of there fast enough. We didn’t even want to leave our suitcases open. Luckily we only stayed one night and spent VERY little time in our room.

Liked: Great location, nothing fancy but everything you need

Good

Not a good experience.

Liked: The breakfast was supposed to be included but there was nothing provided that morning.
Disliked: Dirty floor, no rug, no breakfast and no staff around to answer questions.

I rest well.

Liked: The Location is good.
Disliked: The Pool was closed by a fence. The advertisement said with rooms to see the Pool.

Good value

Liked: The price was good for the location
Disliked: Parking was tight, could hear outside noises, bed was firm.

Pictures are misleading- does not...

Liked: Nice staff, good location
Disliked: The property is nothing like the pictures! Most of the areas pictured aren’t there/no longer exist - very misleading. Looks cool and quirky- very dated old and unkept
