The New Rushcart Inn & Country Dining

Good

Liked: Location was good,, spacious room, fairly quiet area
Disliked: Expected parking, when we arrived there was a bouncy castle there instead which is fair enough but thought we may have been told, we paid an extra £10 for check in 2 hrs earlier as was told extra staff would need to be brought in however when going into our room, it looked very rushed as there were bits on the floor, bits in the shower, blobs of shower gel in shower tray, TV remote was half under the bed, no teaspoons for the hot drinks, we booked and paid for a hot breakfast which was a reason for us booking, then whilst having a drink 10 mins later was told you were not doing hot breakfasts so we got a refund.

Would definetly come back without...

Disliked: Host was lovely and went above and beyond for our stay, nice and cozy just what we wanted.

Overall a good visit

Liked: Lovely place, lovely views. Lovely pub and staff. Breakfast was amazing, sausages were absolutely to die for! I’m very fussy with pillows but these were very comfy.
Disliked: Room was quite small, Bed was very hard, quilt was a double on a double bed, would have been better with a kingsize quilt. shower was tiny, husband struggled to turn around and kept hitting his arm on the shower hear washing his hair. and we both hit our head on the shelf over the tiny corner shelf brushing our teeth. It was also difficult to fill the kettle in the bathroom because of the tiny sink. We were woken at 2am by the two girls getting in, as the walls were really thin.

Disliked: Would have liked the option to eat there but on Mondays and Tuesdays, the kitchen is closed, but no big deal
