The New Inn

Fabulous little gem!

Liked: This is a lovely pub, set in the village. Ashleigh who runs it was amazing, nothing was too much trouble for her, even though she was on her own, doing everything from bar tending, cleaning and cooking meals....if this was in my village I would be very happy, shame we live a 3 and half hour drive away!

Accommodation was adequate for what...

Liked: Local to a party we were going to. A car required to get around, quite remote.
Disliked: Property needs a good overhaul. Fan in room didn’t work. Shower had to be held when trying to shower.

Disappointing

Liked: Staff tried hard in difficult circumstances
Disliked: There were no indications that this pub is going through difficult times and is up for sale. It clearly has had good times but the promise of food did not materialise as there is no chef at the moment, opening hours are limited and it is in need of investment.

Exceptional

Very comfortable and spacious room...

Liked: Very spacious room and huge bathroom. Clean and very comfortable.
Disliked: A smidgen pricey and they don’t offer any cooked breakfast.

Akin to Truck Stop

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Arrived and was shown upstairs that were filthy dirty. The room smelt musty, and the toilet hadn't been cleaned in forever. I slept in my clothes as I wasn't prepared to chance getting under the covers. Asked for food on arrival and was told my options were a pizza or paninni. It's not good for a pub that does food, supposedly. Would not recommend.
