Delightful pub restaurant with rooms...

Liked: Very pretty pub restaurant with rooms set in a delightful village.. Comfortable room and bathroom. Did not eat in the restaurant as had other commitments. We hope to stay there again.

Lovely stay first class service....

When I opened my bedroom...

Liked: Breakfast was scrumptious..
Disliked: To be honest nothing.....had a drink or 3 at the bar...met the owner and a few regulars...cosy fire...what more can I say! Will definitely stay again..

Expected better, especially after reading...

Disliked: Cleanliness the room was absolutely filthy, hadn’t been hoovered for months, dust and filth, built up by side of units and units dead insects on the window as well as dust. Brown smudge marks on tiles in bathroom. The worst place I have ever stayed.

A comfortable place to stay,...

Liked: Very comfortable and clean room with a good sized bathroom. Excellent king sized bed. Very dog friendly, including a decent sausage for her at breakfast.Great landlord and friendly staff.Nicely kept Brakspears.
Disliked: At almost £150 per night, this is quite pricy. I was disappointed to find out later that if I'd booked on my phone rather than my desktop computer, there would have been quite a substantial discount.The restaurant area was cold on the night we arrived and we had to ask the staff to put the heating on.Only a very short menu, so we didn't eat there on the second night of our stay.
