We did it. We would...

Liked: The age and history
Disliked: The age and condition of the room was over the top. The floor sloped 6”, the window had a sad view of an air channel.

The closest car park had...

Liked: The age of it
Disliked: No-one offered to take our bags up two flights of stairs - two of our party are over 80 years of age and one late 70s.In one of the bedrooms the sash window would not stay open. A 6 inch high wedge should have been provided. The room was stiflingly hot and the fan provided just circulated the hot air so my guest had a bad night.

This hotel was so disgusting....

Disliked: We did not like anything whatsoever, we stayed about 10 minutes in the hotel before deciding to leave, and did they stay the night as the rooms were filthy, not at all what is pictured on booking.com, smelt of cigarettes, had bad mattresses where the springs could be felt through the bed sheets and pubic hair under the covers! Wall paper was falling off the walls, visable damp, no headboards and walls beside bed side tables were dirty and marked. The wardrobe was rickety and quite dangerous. Curtians pulled accross in bedroom and when I opened them a cup was propping the window open. Absolutely disgusting place! Do not stay here! I had to book another hotel ASAP which was a massive inconvience as had a gig to make in Birmingham.

Good

Liked: It was a unique experience to stay in such a historic building. The room and bathroom were a good size.
Disliked: The location where the Inn was situated was deprived. We felt unsafe walking to and from the property.
