Enjoyable,but oh those cobbles.

Liked: Breakfasts were good,except last day,was only served 1 egg with my eggs benedict,basically only half of what they served the previous morning.
Disliked: Early closing.

Liked: Loved the location of the New Inn - All the staff were helpful & friendly - the Bar was very nice & the breakfasts were amazing.

Provided a sense of adventure...

Liked: Breakfast in the impressive Hamlyn Room was excellent and it was only in the morning that we got the full impression of the hotel. Although we arrived at the time we said we would ( 6pm, soon after,, we seemed to take the staff on duty by surprise and thehe lounge and reception areas were vitually in darkness.
Disliked: The location was probably wrong for my walking ability, bit I rose to the challenge of Clovelly and really enjoyed the walk down to the harbour as far as the telescope and bench. Walking g up was much easier as was tge return to the excellent visitor centre and car park in the morning.
