The Spotlight on The Ned

Vintage Glamour Meets Modern Luxury in the Heart of the City

Modern elegance with a 1920s twist, The Ned is set in a beautifully restored former bank building, just steps from Bank Station in central London. With 250 stylish rooms, ten unique restaurants, and in-house grooming and spa services, this hotel is where classic design meets contemporary comfort. You're right in the City, with major venues and late-night spots only a short tube ride away.

Why Concert-goers love it

The Ned is a top pick for music lovers thanks to its central location and easy access to the Tube—Bank Station is literally on your doorstep. Whether you're heading to the West End, Soho, or the O2, you're never far from the action. After the show, the hotel’s thick walls and vintage aesthetic offer a surprisingly tranquil retreat from the city's buzz. With check-out at 12:00, there's no need to rush the morning after.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a stylish base near nightlife
- Solo travelers in town for a can't-miss gig
- Couples turning a concert night into a chic city weekend
- Music fans who want a quiet, plush place to crash post-show
- Budget isn't top priority but you're looking for value through quality and location

Food and Drink Options

With ten restaurants onsite, The Ned is a late-night foodie’s dream. You’ll find everything from British brasserie fare to Asian street food and Italian classics. While 24/7 room service isn't standard, the wide variety of on-site options means you’ll never go hungry. And yes, they serve breakfast late enough for those post-concert lie-ins.

Nightlife Options

The Ned’s own Grand Banking Hall often hosts live jazz and DJ sets, making it a venue in its own right. There are also several stylish bars on-site serving cocktails, wines, and local beers. Plus, the location puts you within walking distance of some of the City’s best pubs and lounges.

What People Say

Guests love the hotel’s unique atmosphere and period design, calling it "like stepping into a movie set." The service is frequently praised as "impeccable," and food options are highlighted as "diverse and delicious." Many reviewers mention the hotel’s excellent location for exploring London and attending events.

Areas for Improvement

The Ned isn’t the cheapest option in town, so it may not suit all budgets. Some guests have noted that parts of the hotel can get busy, especially at peak dining hours. The spa and pool require a day pass and are based on availability—not always ideal if you're planning a spontaneous wind-down.

The Bottom Line

With its unbeatable location, vintage charm, and top-tier dining and nightlife, The Ned is a concert-goer’s dream for a stylish, central London stay.

Luxurious 5 Star Room 3...

Liked: The room was luxurious and very comfortable. While there were a few small issues (as noted below), the overall outfitting and amenities — especially the bathroom with its impressive range of products — really lived up to the 5★ rating.Breakfast was faultless, both in quality and presentation, and the in-room dining menu was easy to use with an excellent selection. The swimming pool, sauna, and hammam area were also very enjoyable, and the changing rooms were beautifully presented
Disliked: It wasn’t possible to book a spa day-pass in advance, and when I asked both by phone and in person, staff could only say it ‘depends on the day,’ which created stress even though it worked out fine in the end. In the room, the TV casting didn’t work, a couple of bedside switches were broken (we had to unplug the lamps), and there wasn’t a proper table for two to eat at — so we ended up using trays on the sofa. Midway through the stay there was also a mistaken attempt to charge an additional €250 on top of the deposit, which was unsettling. The spa staff were brusque, entering the sauna without knocking to tell us it was closing soon, and overall the door and concierge staff seemed less warm or helpful than expected at a five-star hotel. Small touches like a smile, opening the door, offering to help with bags, or making suggestions for restaurants/transport would have gone a long way.
