The Muse New York is a modern, eco-friendly boutique hotel tucked into Manhattan’s lively Theater District. With a sleek, contemporary vibe and a prime location just blocks from Times Square, it’s a fantastic base for music lovers exploring the city. You'll be within easy walking distance of Radio City Music Hall, Central Park, and multiple subway lines to get you to concerts across NYC.

This 4-star hotel combines stylish design with thoughtful amenities like a state-of-the-art fitness center, plush rooms with 37-inch flat-screen TVs, and workspaces for those mixing business with their beats.

Why Concert-goers love it

With concert venues just minutes away on foot, you won’t have to worry about late-night cabs or long subway rides. The hotel’s central location means you’re perfectly placed for pre-show dinners and post-show strolls through Times Square. The 12:00 PM checkout gives you time to sleep in after a late night, and the vibe is more relaxed than rowdy, making it ideal for winding down after a loud show.

  • Solo travelers catching a bucket-list performance
  • Couples turning a concert into a romantic weekend
  • Music fans looking for a peaceful, stylish recovery space
  • Budget-conscious travelers who still want upscale comfort

Food and Drink Options

While the on-site Muse Bar is currently closed, the hotel’s unbeatable location means you’re surrounded by countless late-night dining spots and bars. From gourmet pizza to trendy tapas, everything is walkable. Breakfast service is available nearby, perfect for a post-concert brunch.

Nightlife Options

This is the heart of Manhattan nightlife, with Broadway theaters, rooftop lounges, and music venues all within a short radius. Whether you want to catch a jazz set or sip cocktails under neon lights, it’s all just steps from your door. The hotel offers a calm, chic space to return to after a night out.

What People Say

Travelers love The Muse's central yet quiet location, friendly staff, and clean, comfortable rooms. Many mention how easy it is to walk to major landmarks and venues. The stylish design and eco-conscious touches also get high marks from guests.

Areas for Improvement

The closure of the Muse Bar is a minor letdown for those hoping to grab a drink on-site. Some guests note that rooms facing the street can pick up a bit of city noise — to be expected in Midtown Manhattan.

The Bottom Line

If you're catching a show in NYC, The Muse New York offers style, comfort, and unbeatable location just steps from the city's top concert venues.

We had a friendly, charming...

Liked: The friendliness of the staff, the location and the ambience.
Disliked: Engineering didn’t follow through as they said. they would to fix a sharp metal part of the bed frame I cut myself on. I had to remind them. The ventilation in the bathroom which I called about was never addressed.

A great find in midtown/Times...

Liked: Clean, beautiful lobby, friendly and helpful staff, coffee bar in the lobby. The room itself was huge for NYC (we had a two queen bed executive room with balcony), with an enormous balcony with comfortable outdoor seating. Everything was very clean, with free WiFi and lots of outlets built into the furniture for charging devices. Modern bathroom with walk in rain shower and handheld hose, and hair dryer, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided (although no night light in the bathroom, so bring one if you need this!). Less than a block to Times Square but far enough away to be a little more quiet - also an easy walk to Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park and Grand Central. Two robes were provided in the room, a small fridge, and a safe. There was ice and filtered water available in the hallway. They also have valet service for your bags if you need to store them after check out for $3/bag (1 bag comes free with your room), which was fully worth it. We would stay again, it was a fantastic, clean, quiet space with very good service in a convenient location.
Disliked: The air conditioning wasn’t turned on in our room when we checked in at 3pm, so it was hot (79 on the thermostat), and unfortunately took hours and hours to cool down. It was very hot outside (nearly 90), so it’s understandable, but when we went to bed 7 hours later it still was in the mid-70s in the room which made it really hard to sleep comfortably. If you’re traveling here in the summer, I would definitely be sure to request that the AC is turned on before you check in. Also would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room, however coffee was available for purchase in the lobby.

Noisy, chaotic, and disappointing.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: I’ve stayed here several times over the past few years, but this was by far the worst experience. The noise was unbearable—inside and out. Even after being moved to a “quieter” room, we could still hear street noise and disruptive guests yelling and fighting. It felt chaotic, not restful. On top of that, the restaurant was rarely open, which made things even more inconvenient. Very disappointing compared to past stays.

Great location, not so great...

Liked: Great location for Time Square ant theatre district. Check-in desk staff very friendly and helpful, so we’re bagage concierge staff. We had 2x rooms. One on 16th floor had good size room, good view. One on 4th floor reasonable size, but dark and dingy with no view out of raised up windows.
Disliked: Room cleaning left much to be desired. Day 1 we had standard shower gel, liquid soap, conditioner in containers over bath. Then when cleaners came, conditioner bottle was removed and never replaced all week. Odd. Then on most other days, cleaner would bring clean towels and tidy bathroom, but not touch the bed or bedroom. Were tidy people so no big deal, but found it strange. Had to ask for bed sheets to be changed by day 4. Would def expect a better service for the price paid.
