Liked: Good location and room was beautiful. Staff were really friendly
Disliked: The halls in the hotel had a strange smell

A lovely welcoming place

Liked: Every single member of staff were so friendly and helpful, particularly Lani in the restaurant. The spa was lovely and I had excellent treatments. It was really well situated, so I could walk everywhere.
Disliked: My room was a little small

Liked: Property is fantastic retains all the old features of the council offices .. spacious areas - high ceilings and traditional features. Well located in City Center! Watch Car Park recommendation - it is not the Q park on Vernon St! Appears to be NCP open site on right at top of Vernon St!!
Disliked: The ‘systems’ not in place for a Hotel of this standard! Do you require our Car Park ticket ? ‘Thats not the associated CP !!! ‘ Says the supercilious Receptionist. Does not say that on your on your hotel information! ‘Yes, it does !! No apology kma!! nowt!! was his response!!! Not what I saw on Booking.com does it!! Supposedly left C Card open for extras’ ( drinks, snacks) few glass’s wine later Wine Waiter informs us only a £50 credit on the card!! TBf he went to reception to sort - but!!! Returned to Hotel just after 9.30 pm for a drink in bar - ‘sorry no nibbles - crisps, nuts , nothing! TBF he went to reception to sort it. Spoke with Manager was in denial - ‘ no that cant happen’! Well it did!! Breakfast - sorry was not included in room rate - ok! Half way through eating - ‘ I just leave your bill here Sir’!!! (Watch the bill - option Service Charge 12.5% but also a Gratuities box!! )Just put it on the room!!!!! Another gripe at breakfast - no side plates or sufficient cutlery on table!!
