Liked: Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant.
Disliked: Shower over the bath - would have preferred a walk-in shower.

Liked: The rooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable. Very quiet. Well worth the stay.
Disliked: The meals in the restaurant were a little small. We had to wait an hour for food when we were the only people in! The side orders were cold and overcooked.

I stayed here for two nights in December 2010 - found the room okay but could have done with an update and the television was a small portable that was disappointing - On the whole not very good value for money

Old fashioned but very friendly...

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff. Huge comfortable bed. Late night bar food available on arrival was a real plus.
Disliked: I received far too many emails / texts prior to my stay asking strange questions and asking for information that I then had to give again at check-in.

Pleasant but didn’t blow us...

Liked: The was very hot, the fan was welcomed. Breakfast food was luke warm, hard eggs, and where you in breakfast was smokeless, weird the staff stand all together in the room watching you eat. The was only 5 tables taken and four staff.

Liked: Location, history of the building, the staff, the food
Disliked: The curtains in the room were poorly fitting, the shabby chic look is not to our taste, the wallpaper was poorly applied with lots of bubbles.
