The Mount Hotel

Liked: Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant.
Disliked: Shower over the bath - would have preferred a walk-in shower.

Liked: The rooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable. Very quiet. Well worth the stay.
Disliked: The meals in the restaurant were a little small. We had to wait an hour for food when we were the only people in! The side orders were cold and overcooked.

I stayed here for two nights in December 2010 - found the room okay but could have done with an update and the television was a small portable that was disappointing - On the whole not very good value for money

Superb

Old fashioned and comfortable.

Liked: This is a friendly comfortable hotel. The breakfast choice was very good. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped and spacious. I arrived late and was able to get something to eat from the bar - a very nice surprise.
Disliked: They sent way too many messages prior to my stay asking all sorts of questions like "the reason for my visit". Messages were repeated but my queries were not properly answered.

Disappointing.

Disliked: The rooms were tiny, outdated and smelled musty like they hadn’t seen air/been cleaned for months. No temperature controls which meant rooms were boiling and difficult to sleep in. Would have been better off staying at a premier inn for cheaper price, larger room and aircon. Food was average - ordered a hot sandwich and asked for a portion of chips and was advised they needed to speak to the manager to see if it could be done? Overall very poor experience.

Disliked: Bedrooms very warm and initially allocated ground floor. No pool. Beds very hard indeed. Need a topper!

Outstanding stay in a beautiful...

Liked: Beautiful property with very attentive staff and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is outstanding with plenty of options to order from a menu as well as a continental buffet to choose from with tea/coffee and juices! WiFi was also incredibly fast and able to stream videos/work with ease.
Disliked: N/A
