Liked: Friendly staff. Excellent restaurant.
Disliked: Shower over the bath - would have preferred a walk-in shower.

Liked: The rooms were lovely and the beds very comfortable. Very quiet. Well worth the stay.
Disliked: The meals in the restaurant were a little small. We had to wait an hour for food when we were the only people in! The side orders were cold and overcooked.

I stayed here for two nights in December 2010 - found the room okay but could have done with an update and the television was a small portable that was disappointing - On the whole not very good value for money

Disliked: Not informing before arrival you need a £50 holding despite. They stated I would get this back in 2 but it's more like a week. No email informing me of this breakfast times is from 0630 until 0930 which I feel isn't long enough check out at 11am which is fine but at least keep the breakfast open until 1030am.

Liked: The hotel was lovely, staff were friendly and accommodating and our room in the courtyard was superb!
Disliked: Only couple of small negatives, our room was next to the storage room and so we were woken early by lots of noise. The pillows were not the comfiest.

Liked: Room was spacious and clean.Restaurant nicely laid out - tables not too close together.Staff were all friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Some of the cooked breakfast food was overcooked - the bacon in particular was way too crispy to eat, and looked fried, not grilled. There was no fat free/sugar /sweetener free yoghurt.The instant coffee in the room was not very nice - I would have expected Nescafe gold blend as a minimum.

Great stay after races

Liked: Very friendly staff ,from check in & out , too bar staff & breakfast in room staff , very clean room ,we enjoyed one night stay, we had been wolves races & have no hesitation in staying again.

Beautiful hotel oozes charm but...

Liked: The property has charm it is clean and the bathrooms very modern the bedrooms look good but you need to sort out the plug sockets as drying your hair is a mission
Disliked: The beds! The room and bathroom are very good but the beds seem cheap and very uncomfortable.

Liked: Amazing historical building and grounds. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast good quality food with choices to suit every taste and diet. Ample on site parking. Room spotlessly clean, good size, great bathroom with all facilities needed. No noise could be heard at night. Relaxed atmosphere.
Disliked: Room corporate style with little character compared to main building. Pillows too hard. However in no way would this stop us from returning or recommending.
