Lovely place

Liked: It was a return visit/stay ,comfy room,relaxed atmosphere, nice beer.
Disliked: If you stay on a Sunday, breakfast not available, shame.

Huge potential and lovely location

Liked: The location was amazing. It was lovely to look out at the canal.
Disliked: We arrived on a Sunday night and were staying for two nights. The restaurant and bar were not open Sunday night and Monday, but we were aware of this. What was disappointing however was that our tea and coffee supplies were not replenished overnight so we had to buy some. There was a coffee machine in the room but no pods. On the plus side there was a fridge in the room. Some of the window handles were broken and it was a struggle to shut them (which was fine as we were there during warm weather but we didn't really want to leave them open with our belongings in the room); the carpet in the lobby leading up to the rooms could do with a deep clean and it smells a bit (real shame as the entrance is otherwise lovely). The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows really lumpy - I didn't really get to sleep on both nights because of this. There is a strange howling noise that runs through the pipes or something overnight which is a little disconcerting. On the plus side - the room and bathroom were clean, there was a fan in the room, and the walk by the canal was lovely and the location peaceful. With a bit of love and attention this could be a lovely place to stay - it has the feel and potential of a boutique hotel.

Liked: The communication from the staff members was efficient and excellent. The room was beautiful alongside the location. A beautiful walk along the River takes you to the dicks. Will definitely be returning.
