Disappointed to say the least....

Liked: The breakfast was good. But you needed a fleece on to eat it as the room was very cold. Evening meals were good and the staff were good. Bathroom was obviously new and good but had faults such as no toilet roll holder and no soap rack or grab rail in the shower. No waste bin.
Disliked: On your website the place is listed 5 star. No way. The room was small, the bed heads were not fastened on, the TV controller was broken, wiring from the TV hanging down, no wardrobe, corner with coat hangers only good for one night, no mirror in the room, and as in other reviews the floor creaked VERY loudly. No contact details in the room in case there was a problem.

Comfortable stay with great food...

Liked: Great parking, friendly staff, nice pub and delicious food! Room was very clean and comfortable with everything you need... if just slightly dated but it is a very old historic property. Ensuite was very clean and great large shower. Gorgeous views and lovely beer garden. Uber available to get out and about for the evening. Breakfast was really yum! Easy access to walks in the area. Staff were super helpful and welcoming.
Disliked: Headboard on bed was loose and a bit creaky but didn't really impact anything. Point to note... twin bed rooms are single beds.

Liked: Lovely rooms, small, cosy and had everything you need. The staff were lovely, especially the restaurant staff! Bed was very comfy, room was very clean!

The cooked breakfast was outstanding...

Liked: The moorcock is situated in a fabulous location with really scenic views, its only a short walk in to town or a cheap taxi ride if preferred.
Disliked: Unfortunately, I am a large man and therefore found the bed too small but also hard in terms of comfort.
